MODEL 90

The Model 90 is a compact, easy-to-tow 9-inch capacity disc-style chipper. A 9" X 17" chipper opening allows the Model 90 to process multiple stems as well as large diameter pieces up to 9 inches. MODEL 95:

The Model 95 is a secondary 9-inch capacity disc-chipper designed to chip fibrous material like palm fronds and vines. The disc on the Model 95 sits at a 90º angle, compared to the normal 45º angle that most of our disc chippers feature. This set-up allows the Model 95 to process viney and stringy material that is hard to process with a normal disc chipper.

Like the model 90, the 95 features a 9" X 17" chipper opening and has engine options ranging from 37- to 90-horsepower.  The heart of this unit is a right-angle feed system with a single powerful feed wheel. There is very little distance between the feed wheel and the chipper knife, preventing materials like vines and palm fronds from wrapping around the feed wheel.  This unit is especially popular in coastal areas where foliage, stringy materials and vines are prevalent.

The Model 150 is the most compact of three 12-inch disc-style chippers available from Bandit. This unit has been designed for those who want an economically priced 12-inch capacity chipper that can easily be towed. MODEL 200+ :

The Model 200+ is our mid-range 12-inch disc-style chipper. This unit is slightly bigger than the 150, and features a 45-inch wide infeed tray opposed to the 35" infeed tray found on the 150. MODEL 254 : 

If your chipping operation is consistantly removing large diameter whole trees, we suggest you start looking at 14- to 18-inch diameter capacity chippers. The Model 254 is a great machine for tree services chipping large diameter branches and trees. A 14" x 20 1/2" chipper opening and engine options ranging from 80- to 205-horsepower make this unit a powerful tree chipping machine.

Two versions of the Model 254 are offered: the standard Model 254, with engine options up to 140-horsepower, and a higher horsepower unit with heavier drive and engine options up to 200-horsepower.

A powerful feed system and Bandit's Easy Climb Feed Wheel Tensioning System makes feeding large pieces easier and reduces material movement in the infeed hopper. The increased opening and powerful feed system reduces the need to trim. This unit is easier to feed than most other chippers in it's class and is extremely effective when it comes to chipping brush. This unit has been "put into motion" by way of a Caterpillar 305CR rubber-tracked undercarriage. This option comes with a tether and a radio remote. MODEL 280 :

The Model 280 is our most productive hand-fed disc-style chipper available. The feed system on this chipper is powerful enough to pull large diameter whole trees into the chipper. The Model 280 can be fed with the optional knuckle boom loader. The large opening on the Model 280 is 18" x 20 1/2", allowing for multiple or large diameter trees to be chipped with ease.

A 45° angled feed provides economy and efficiency when chipping larger diameter materials. It is ideal for those involved in big tree takedowns and light land clearing. A more powerful hydraulic feed system was added in early 2000 that vastly improved its performance. This machine has been "put into motion" by way of a Caterpiller 305 rubber-tracked undercarriage. This option comes with a tether and radio remote. The Model 280 can be powered by diesel engine options ranging from 115- to 205-horsepower.

MODEL 1290H

The 1290H is the most compact of our five hand-fed drum-style chippers. Featuring our 37-inch diameter drum, the Model 1290H can easily chip large diameter trees up to 15-inches in diameter. This drum is nearly double the diameter than that of competitive chippers in it's class, allowing for less vibration and less fuel consumption. The 1290H has a chipper opening of 15" x 20 1/2" and features engine options from 65- to 140-horsepower.

The larger chipper opening and powerful feed system allows the 1290H to process limby materials with limited trimming. It also effectively processes material with very little vibration while producing a uniform, dimensional chip. The 1290's sleek design makes it easy to transport and maneuver. MODEL 1590

Our intermediate drum chipper, the Model 1590, has become our most popular hydraulic-feed drum-style chipper. Like the 1290H, the 1590 also features our 37-inch diameter drum, but has a bigger throat opening: an amazing 18" x 20 1/2." This larger opening allows it to effectively compress limby and crotchy material. Diesel engine options range from 80- to 140-horsepower.

The 1590 also features a larger infeed hopper that can effectively compress large amounts of brush and trees. This unit is also a great machine for fibrous material because material enters the feed system at a right angle, with the feed wheels positioned close to the drum. The 1590 has become popluar among municpalities because of its large infeed hopper opening, successfully keeping full crews busy feeding it.

MODEL 1890

The Model 1890 standard is a dependable drum-style chipper that has the same capacity as our 1890HD, but comes with smaller horsepower options.   The 1890 standard is equipped with engine options up to 140-horsepower and comes with a 20 1/2" x 24" chipper opening. This unit will process material up to and including 18 inches in diameter.  

Bandits 1890 standard unit has a proven, powerful feed sytem that is capable of pulling whole trees into the chipper. Even forked and crotchy pieces are chipped with ease through this rugged machine. Our 37-inch diameter drum is positioned within inches of the feed wheels, providing plenty of pulling power. Our over-sized drum is quite bigger than most of our competitor's 22-inch diameter drums. This means that our Model 1890 chips most of the material on the bottom half of the drum. Drum chippers do not throw their chips as far as disc chippers, so we have designed the 1890 to be capable of filling end-opening chip vans. There are numerous pockets located on the side of the drum that catch the chips as they come off the knife. These pockets have been enlarged to increase their carrying capacity and throwing velocity.

The Model 1890 standard is also available with a super-sized feed system. This option does not increase the opening into the chipper, but does make it easier to process limbier matieral. If light land clearing presents itself, the Model 1890 is available with a Caterpillar 305CR rubber-tracked undercarriage. With this feature, the chipper can be taken to the tree, reducing the need to forward or skid. A radio remote with the following functions controls most of the chipper functions: chipper forward/reverse, chipper left/right, yoke up/down, throttle up/down, and emergency shut down.  There is also another remote if a hydraulic winch is ordered.  This allows for whole trees to be pulled into the chipper, which will reduce operator fatigue and the use of a chainsaw.

MODEL 1890HD :

The Model 1890 heavy-duty (HD) is a high-capacity, hydraulic-feed drum-style chipper specifically designed for those contractors and governmental agencies who tackle full tree removals and light land clearing.    

With engine option starting at 155-horsepower up to 250-horsepower, this unit is suited for those who want a machine with ultimate power. One of its most important features is that it is equipped with Bandit's proven slide box system for carrying the top feed wheel, which ensures that the feed system is within inches of the cutting surface. The large opening and closeness of the feed system make this unit extremely efficient in breaking down limbs and crotches, which reduces the need to trim.   

This unit shows no fear when presented with larger diameter materials. The pockets that catch the chips as they come off the knife have been enlarged, increasing their carrying capacity and throwing velocity. The knife pocket design is also incorporated into the design of the 1290H and 1590 making those units equally effecient in discharging chips from the machine. Larger pockets are important in ensuring that chips are discharged on the first pass and not allowed to remain in the chipper housing. A unique slot, called a power slot, cut into the belly of the chipper allows proper air flow through the discharge. This provides a slot for chips that might remain in the housing to discharge, making the Intimidator virtually impossible to plug.  An 1890 heavy-duty can be customized to meet the needs for almost any application.  A Model 75 backhoe-style loader, 305CR rubber-tracked undercarriage, super-sized feed systems, and a hydraulic winch make this an extremely versatile unit.

MODEL 1990 :

The Model 1990 is a high-powered machine designed to chip large, crotchy material. This unit is bigger and more powerful than the 1890HD, featuring a 37-inch diameter by 26-inch wide drum.   

The 1990 is built with a feed system that is powerful enough to pull whole trees into the chipper.  This heavy-duty feed system features a 15 3/4-inch diameter top feed wheel, 10 5/8-inch diameter by 32-inch wide bottom feed wheel. The top feed wheel is chain driven; the infeed dimensions are 64 inches wide by 41 inches tall. The heavy-duty feed sytem and added width to the drum makes the 1990 a real work horse, reducing the need for trimming branches. The 1990 is also available with a loader or a rubber-tracked undercarriage.
